IPN Scholars
IPN is free and run by volunteers. Mentor time is the one thing we cannot make more of, so each year the board selects a small number of students for close, personal attention.

For students who have finished their Steps and are applying this cycle: personal statement review, CV and ERAS review, program selection and signals, mock interviews, and one-to-one sessions.
USMLE Programme
For students starting the Steps or in the middle of them: a study plan reviewed by someone who has passed, Step guidance, and one-to-one sessions with a mentor. The board selects 10 students for the 2026–2027 cycle.
How Scholars are chosen
You apply, and the board reads every application. Beyond what you write, the board looks at what you already do at IPN: answering other members' questions, turning up to events, and following through.
A complete application does not guarantee selection. This does not mean members who are not selected are less deserving; it means volunteer time is limited.
