Community Guidelines
IPN works because members share honest experience and treat each other as colleagues. These guidelines apply to Community, events, mentorship, IPN Scholars programmes, and any group or meeting arranged through IPN.

The short version
- Treat every member as a colleague.
- Never share patient information or exam questions.
- Share your experience honestly, and point people to official sources.
- Keep IPN free: no selling, advertising, or paid services.
- Report problems privately instead of arguing in public.
Be respectful
No harassment, bullying, discrimination, unwanted attention, or mocking anyone’s scores, attempts, gaps, or visa situation.
Protect patients and privacy
Never post patient information, even if you think it is anonymous. Do not share other people’s contact details, messages, or documents without permission.
Respect exam and application rules
Do not share, sell, or ask for real or remembered exam questions. Do not write personal statements or letters for others, or help anyone misrepresent their application.
Share honest, careful guidance
Say what worked for you and when, point to official sources, and never promise scores, interviews, visas, positions, or a Match.
Keep IPN free
Do not sell, advertise, or promote paid services. Mentors, speakers, and board members never charge the members they meet through IPN.
Mentorship and events
Request mentorship through IPN, come prepared, and give notice if you need to cancel. Mentors volunteer their time and may decline.
Reporting a problem
Use Report in Community or Help → Report a concern. Only board administrators see reports.
When guidelines are broken
The board may hide or remove posts, give a warning, pause participation, or suspend an account.
